Judge Denies Occupy Boston’s Injunction

Today, December 7th, 2011, Boston Judge Frances A. McIntyre rejected Occupy Boston’s injunction claiming we are not within our First Amendment rights to remain overnight in Dewey Square Parks. Download the full ruling.

Occupy Boston has not issued an official response, but anyone who can come to the camp, please make the effort. We need all of your support.

“Just before 4PM today, December 7, Judge McIntyre ruled to lift the temporary restraining order prohibiting the city from removing the encampment at Dewey Square. While this is not a court order to remove Occupy Boston, it does allow the city to clear our occupation at any time. We will be holding an emergency General Assembly at 7 PM tonight to discuss what we plan to do going forward. We have lost our safety net and encourage everybody to come, despite the inclement weather.”
